Get ready for the 2024 Ford F-450SD. This exciting pickup truck just underwent a complete redesign in 2024, and the new model showcases many noteworthy changes. Before deciding if it’s right for you, it’s important to learn about the six different trim levels, their standard features, and the available options.
2024 Ford F-450SD Trim Levels
XL
The XL is the base trim level for the Ford Super Duty F-450 and comes standard with a 6.8L gas V8 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. It offers your basic work truck setup, featuring black door handles, bumpers, and grille. You’ll also find cloth seats and vinyl flooring, as well as an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with SYNC 4 technology. This is the only Super Duty available in the Ford lineup that features rear-wheel drive configurations.
Other features that come standard on the XL trim level include remote engine start, keyless entry, cruise control, power mirrors, and audio controls on the steering wheel. Wi-Fi hotspot capability, smart device integration, and an MP3 player are also included.
XLT
Next up is the XLT trim level. It offers many enhancements over the XL, such as a 7-3L Godzilla V8 engine as standard and four-wheel drive. You’ll also upgrade to a chrome grille and bumpers, a five-speaker stereo system, carpeting, larger cast-aluminum wheels, and fog lamps.
Lariat
If you want more comfort and enhanced enjoyment while driving, the Lariat is an excellent solution. It’s considered the entry-level luxury trim level and adds many amenities, including a 12-inch SYNC 4 screen, leather seats, dual-zone climate control, upgraded wheels, a remote tailgate release, LED headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, LED box lighting, body-color handles, a chrome grill, and step bars.
King Ranch
One step up from the Lariat is the King Ranch trim level of the Ford Super Duty F-450. You’ll be rewarded with a crew-cab configuration and exclusive features. These include Pro Power Onboard, a power tailgate, a head-up display, advanced driver-assist technology, a 14-speaker B&O sound system, special interior treatments (leather), distinctive wheels, King Ranch badging, two-tone paint, power running boards, and a chrome tailgate appliquéing.
Platinum
The Platinum trim level offers even more luxury than the other options. It comes standard with a power tailgate, multi-contour leather seats with ventilation and heat, unique interior treatments, 20-inch wheels, satin chrome appliquéing for the tailgate, chrome handles with surrounds in the body color, a satin aluminum grille, body-color bumpers, and power running boards.
Limited
Lastly, the Limited trim is the ultra-luxury option. It comes standard with a 6.7L high-output diesel engine and offers the crew-cab configuration. You’ll also enjoy the full line of driver-assist features, a head-up display, heated/ventilated multi-contour seats, two-tone leather upholstery, a Miko suede headliner, a power tailgate and moonroof, body-color handles and bumpers, and power running boards.
